April Skies, April Surprise! The king of beasts, Leo the Lion, will be sharing the sky with Jupiter, the king of planets in April 2018. These very recognizable objects will be joined by Ursa Major and Ursa Minor high overhead. During the first hour of this two hour course, you will spend time in the planetarium to learn how to find these constellations and how to recognize Jupiter. During the second hour you will be outside. This session will include the identification of a few additional night-sky objects as well as some alternative mythologies associated with the April sky.
